Resource Technician

The Resource Technician provides community resources, information and assistance to clients at the Citrus Heights office.  Working under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, s/he may also work in coordination with all other One Stop staff & partners and the main office to assess client’s eligibility for services.

Duties Include:

·Intake and assessment; screen clients for program eligibility

·Prepares and completes paperwork for enrollment; general file maintenance

·Assist clients with translations,  accessing resources via computers or other methods (one-on-one assistance)

·Assist with pre-employment skills activities (resume development, job search, labor market information, etc.)

·Refer customers to Case Manager for Intensive Services/Training

·Assist case management team with follow-up/retention services, provide ESS and ESL trainer with program assistance as needed

·Work with staff members for accurate data reporting

·Attend meetings and participate in training-related workshops

·Receptionist duties, i.e., answer phones, general office, data entry and clerical duties

·Regular and timely attendance

·Work safely and report safety issues

·Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Knowledge:

·At least (1) year experience with customer services

·Experience with general office procedures

·Knowledge of computer applications and office equipment

·Previous experience in employment or other related social service programs

·Awareness of the social and economic problems facing minorities in this community

·Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and willingness to learn new skills

·Team-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated to the formation and philosophy of the development of employment and economic development

·Must be at least a HS graduate, 18 years of age and be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;

·Must obtain clearance of fingerprint background check through DOJ.

·Bilingual/Multilingual skills preferred Russian, Bosnian, Ukrainian or other Slavic languages

Compensation

This is a full-time hourly position

English Language Development Trainer – (ELD) - Citrus Heights Office

Duties Include

·Develop lesson plans

·Teach English grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills

·Teach pronunciation and accent reduction

·Introduce cultural aspects to ELD students, especially those who are new to the English speaking language

·Attend meetings and participate in training-related workshops

·Conduct specialized student assessments and evaluations

·Develop plans that guide appropriate instruction

·Work effectively as a member of a team, contribute to creative solutions to problems, assumes case management responsibilities and uses training and experience to support classroom instruction

·Provide direct and effective service to students, families, and colleagues providing positive regard from a wide variety of backgrounds

·Receptionist duties, i.e., answer phones, general office, data entry and clerical duties as needed

Qualifications

·B.A. / B.S. required

·Completion of CBEST

Site Supervisor

The Site Supervisor will provide oversight to multiple programs, case management and supervision of program staff.   She/he will be expected to ensure the accuracy of all assigned programs, case files as well as all programs within the ARI Job Center (America’s Job Center). The Site Supervisor will work closely with other Program Managers in order to develop and implement activities and programs that facilitate neighborhood empowerment and improve the quality of life for the community residents.  The Site Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Deputy Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Assist and oversee all programs at the ARI Job Center (America’s Job Center)

·Provide supervision to program staff including interns at the ARI Job Center 

·Assist and oversee training workshops as well as legal service appointments

·Manage and approve Individual Training Account (ITA) funds

·Train and provide VITA assistance and Covered California enrollments

·Assess and direct clients into eligible ARI programs

·Responsible for agency case files to ensure accuracy, quality, program integrity, contract goals and contract compliance for all assigned programs

·Meet individually with each staff to provide leadership, oversight, support and direct supervision to all ARI Job Center staff

·Review & coordinate regularly with staff to identify errors and provide solutions to successfully meet program goals

·Coordinate projects/events as assigned; Responsible for the logistics and scheduling of various activities and events within the program such as toy & food holiday events, job and career fairs, and citizen workshops, etc.

·Assist with on-going data collection/evaluations to provide accurate data production of reports and documents for funders and internal purposes; Assist in the development and program implementation and evaluation techniques

·Complete all required reports, documentation and data collection in a timely manner

·Identify, coordinate, and conduct staff trainings within the program as necessary

·Work closely with existing partners and new project partners in developing new collaborative partnerships

·Work with other coordinators to identify and develop programs

·Participate in the development and assignments of component goals and objectives, as well as the component budgets

·Collaborate with Deputy Director to conduct performance management including appraisals and corrective actions as necessary

·Work closely with various programs and attend community meetings to represent the agency and its services

·Maintain a safe, professional, and confidential work environment and report safety issues

·Regular and timely attendance; Working flexible hours that will include occasional weekends and evenings.

·Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Knowledge

·At least 1 year of working knowledge of a Sacramento Works Job Center or a America’s Job Center is required;

·Knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

·Experience in employment services or vocational training of government funded programs;

·Management and supervision of  employment service staff;

·A working knowledge of local community resources; Experience working with employers and developing new collaborations

·Strong verbal, written, communication and leadership skills;

·Ability to handle adversity and crisis in an efficient manner and attention to details under stressful situations while maintaining a professionalism

·Must be self-motivated, flexible, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and meet deadline

·Strong problem solving skills

·Comfort working with people from diverse background

·Valid California Drivers License, own transportation, automobile insurance and good driving record require

·Bilingual/Multilingual skills preferred. Lao, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, Bosnian, Ukrainian, Pashto, Arabic a plus.
